A timely conversation today with Commercial Radio legend Greg Newman - who brought to our attention the shocking and pornographic nature of lyrics in the majority of today's chart hits.  He's written an article entitled "Pop or Porn....You Pick" - read it here - but be warned, the very nature of the article means it contains highly offensive material as he lists the lyrics of the majority of today's top 50 chart hits.  It's insightful reading for all parents of teenagers.

But there IS an alternative - there are plenty of great Christian artists of all different musical styles - from heavy hardcore metal, to rap, to pop, to jazz, to country, and everything in between!  Check out some of the artists listed at the Hot25 Countdown, 20 The Countdown Magazine and your local Word or Koorong store....that's a good start but there's plenty more to be found just by simple internet searching.  And if you're still stuck, feel free to get in touch with our Music Director, Mandy Worby on 1800 00 7770 and she'll be glad to help!
