UCB Australia

Vision Radio Network is a ministry activity of United Christian Broadcasters (UCB) Australia.

UCB Australia exists to bring the Good News to all Australians. We believe that God uses ministries such as ours to reach out to the community. This is what we mean by our ministry statement: God Reaching People Through People.

Have you ever noticed how many times Jesus Christ used the word "Go" to his followers? Here are just a few examples: .Go into all the world and preach the good news to all creation.. .As you go, preach this message: .the kingdom of heaven is near... .Go! I send you as lambs amongst the wolves.. Jesus expects us to go and preach his Word, despite the difficulties, so that all might have the opportunity to hear it. Australia is a vast, dry country, with great distances between isolated communities. How do we connect the lonely, the hurt, the disenfranchised? How do we go? - via radio and publishing.

Most Christians know that they should read the Bible, pray and be involved in active fellowship, yet so many Australian Christians struggle with these basis foundations. UCB Australia's strategy is to encourage, challenge, train and equip Christians through the radio, The Word for Today, and great resources. By building up stronger Christians we will see them become salt and light in their churches and communities.

At UCB Australia, we aim to communicate the Gospel by broadcasting… Literally by broadly casting God's Word throughout Australia by transmitting our radio programmes and distributing our publications. One of the dictionary's definitions of broadcasting is scattering (seed, etc.) over a large area. UCB Australia's mission is, like the farmer in Jesus. parable of the sower, to broadcast the seed - the Gospel - as far and wide as possible across Australia, so that many will have the opportunity to hear and accept it.

It's vital that the message of salvation is engaging, so that listeners will be more readily able to accept the seed. To accomplish this goal, UCB Australia ensures that it focuses on encouraging, teaching and challenging both the church - to growth and health, and the "seeking" - to find the heart of God.
