Why?

• Vision is a listener supported radio network.

It is people like you who enable this ministry to operate.

You don't have to listen long to Vision to realise that we're very different from 'mainstream' stations. Another less obvious distinction from most other broadcasters is the way that Vision derives its income.
Although there are a limited number of 'sponsorship announcements' on Vision, we are not a 'commercial' station. In fact less than 10% of our income is from sponsorship advertising! Unlike other national broadcasters like the ABC and Triple J, we receive no government funding.
So, the question is "how do we pay the bills?" And the answer - "by faith, with your help!" Vision is a listener supported radio network. We operate by faith, believing that God will provide our needs and recognising that He does that through people... So we are asking our listeners to show their support and exercise their faith to help us raise $500,000

• Operation and Project Funding

The money raised will be used for both the day-to-day operating of UCB Australia’s ministry as well as enabling us to continue to expand and develop our ministry so we can be more effective and reach more people with the Gospel message.

All money given to Visionathon will be carefully used for the running of UCB Australia’s ministry to enable us to continue on a strong footing into 2009. We also have some specific projects that we will be pursuing as funds allow. These include...

• Expanding Vision Radio Network into new areas
• printing and distributing more copies of The Word for Today
• launching a printed edition of Word4U2day (the youth version of The Word for Today) for the young people of Australia
• expand the reach and effectiveness of our PrayForMe ministry
• explore new technologies (e.g. podcasting) and the opportunities they offer for taking Gospel to the nation
• maintenance and development our broadcast and Head Office facilities

• You can help us 'Preach the Word'

Romans 10 says ‘But how can people call on him if they have not believed in Him? How can they believe in Him if they have not heard His message? How can they hear if no one tells them the Good News?’ We believe that UCB Australia (which operates the Vision network) has been raised up by God 'for such a time as this' to preach the Word. We will not be silent - but we can't do it alone. This is a partnership - your prayers and finances enable us to continue 'in season and out of season; correcting, rebuking and encouraging - with great patience and careful instruction.' (2 Tim 4:2)
